There are new functions in newer versions WordPress that many users, especially new ones are unaware of. Here are few tips that you should know to increase your blogging pleasure using WordPress.
- If you did not check the “Make my blog visible to search engine” option during your initial installation, make sure you do it after you have installed WordPress. Go to Dashboard – Settings – Privacy. Check the “I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers” option.
- You can install new plugins right from your Admin panel. Go to Dashboard – Plugins – Add New. If you know the name of the plugin, enter the full name. If not enter some keywords related to the plugin WordPress will return a full list of the plugins you are looking for. Once you get the right one, Click Install. WordPress will do the rest.
- You can also upgrade your plugins automatically. There will be a message informing you that your plugin need updating when you go to your Plugins page. Use the Upgrade Automatically option.
- You can choose to show only your Active Plugins at your Plugins page
- You can safely Delete any unused Plugins in your Plugins Page.
- You can install new WordPress Themes right from your Admin panel. Go to Dashboard – Appeareance – Add New Themes. You will be presented with all the new Themes that have been recently submitted to WordPress. Click Install when you see one you like Again WordPress will do the rest.
- To use Nested or Threaded comments, if your Theme has this, you have to check the “Enable threaded (nested) comments” in the Settings – Discussion page.
These 7 functions was not available in older version of WordPress. Use them to make your WordPress experience a more pleasant one.




From what I read, if you are optimized for Goggle, the you are also good for Bing.
But, to be honest, I don’t get any Bing traffic here.
To tell you the truth, Bing was a failure, although every chart out there would tell you that they are gaining % on the search market!
That’s just Microsoft, they went out and did the same thing with another failure Windows VISTA! The actual sold copies of it, were so off, of what they claimed to have sold.
Anyways why would you switch from something perfectly simple and efficient as google? Has google become slower?NO!Bloggy?NO
