Sure you have read a thousand and one blogs of Make Money Online gurus who tells you that it is easy to make tons of money online. Just start a blog, they will tell you, insert Adsense, they continue, sell some affiliate products, they advise. You will make easy money. If you still believe that, you are dumber than the chicken who laid her eggs in the snake hole thinking it will be safe.
You know, the real money makers online are often the ones who do not even have a blog that they can conciously call their own. I mean a blog like this one, where I can offer some tips and write some personal stuffs when I feel like it. They might have a few hundred blogs or sites, but all will be anonymous ones or at least not under their true identity. Some might have an anchor or flagship blog that are very popular, but you will never find them revealing the other hundreds that they have.
They do that firstly, to protect their keywords from being copied by other and secondly, they do not want trolls playing havoc with their sites.
The reason why many real money makers do not maintain a flagship blog is because this kind of blogs are time consuming as it needs constant updating and frankly, flagship blogs do not make as much unless you devote years of your time nurturing it and building it to something respectable.
Let me give you a glimpse of what goes into the day of a guy who makes serious money online. It was a life I led briefly for about 6 months before I decided that I am simply not up to it, thus I quit and devoted most of my time to this blog and a few others that are already established and need not much maintenance.
As making money online is a numbers game, it is an non stop building process. In a typical day of building new sites, we start of with
Keyword Research.
On a good day, this might take a couple of hours before we hit on something that we feel have some potential to succeed. On bad days……..
Buying A Domain That Is Related To The Keyword.
After deciding on the keywords, we head over to freshdrop.net to scour for any aged domains that might just fit the bill. Preferably it should be as old as possible with some established links already pointed to it.
Sometimes we might see some that is too good to let go so we buy them just in case we might have some use later on. Since there are thousands listed there, it will be another few hours before we find the one we want. It gets addictive and before we knwo it, we would have spent more than a few hours there.
Getting The Domain Up.
If you get an aged domain, it takes 2 weeks before the transfer can be completed, but then of course there are days when we just can’t find any aged domains that we like. Under such circumstances, we will buy a new one, This is very much faster and within 2 hours of buying the domain, the DNS should be properly propagated and we can go ahead with our setting up of our blog or site.
Setting Up The Blog Site
Since we are so used to setting up new sites, this will take no more than an hour maximum.
Getting In The Contents.
To get the site properly indexed, we will need at least 20 articles that are tightly keyword related. Some says 5 articles could do the job, but my preference is 20. If we write our own articles, this will take the rest of the day. If we outsource and have the articles ready, it might just take another few hours.
Getting The Site Indexed.
To get traffic as soon as possible, we need to get the site indexed in the shortest possible time. To do that, we have to get links pointing to our site with the right anchor text. If you have your own blog farm, it is a piece of cake. If not you will need some outside help by getting some of your buddies with good trusted sites to link you. Or you can also start submitting your sites to trusted social sites like DIGG or whatever.
Only whatever you do, do not submit to Google or Yahoo like all blog gurus teaches you. Google takes their own sweet time to see the submissions and it might take weeks or months before they index your site. A link from a trusted site that Google spiders crawls daily will lead them to your site within a day.
If done properly, your sites can be indexed within 24 hours. You will know when that green bar says PR0/10 instead of PR N/A .
Getting Your Keywords To Rank In The First Page.
Now comes the toughest and the most boring part. There is no point getting your site indexed but have it buried in page 1000001 of Google Search Results Page. During your Keyword Research stage, you should have found out your competitor’s strength for the top 3 position in the SERPs. You now have to outdo them in terms of the backlinks they got.
The backlinks you get must top that of your competitor in terms of age, PR, anchors. The stronger your links as compared to your competitors the better off you will be.
This link building process can take days and I can guarantee you wil lose more than a few strands of hair.
Start On Another Site.
Once we have done all that, we repeat and rinse. The whole cycle starts all over again and it goes on and on until you are satisfied you have enough successful sites to last you a life time.
Not All Your Sites Will Be Successful
Think you have built a hundred sites and now you have enough? Think again. Only about 30 or less will make decent money. The rest goes down the drain.
Despite all the time and hard work poured in, 70% of the sites you build will be bombs. Nobody can say why. So many unexpected things can go wrong and simply do not fall in place. Those who can live up to it will laugh and move on to the next building cycle. Those who can’t gives up.
I can’t.

Wouldn’t too many sites, spill your focus, here and there, thus giving you less time to focus on each, and getting out quality content?
quality content??
Who wants quality contents?
I don’t know
I thought readers want quality
! Don’t they?
