A Massage Geek’s Blog

by Costa on December 8, 2007

A couple of months back, I visited a blog started by Willow Myles titled, Are You A Massage Geek. It was still very new then and when I reviewed the site (not here), I did not have a very positive outlook because I was of the opinion that a blog in this very tight niche would be tough to develop into something big. Two months have passed since and on my re-visit this morning, Willow has proven me totally wrong.

The blog has taken a whole new outlook with a magazine style theme which works and tie in very well with their topics. talking of which, unfortunately, has only been filled up with more than 40 posts under more than 20 categories which I felt was a little bit in excess. The 40+ posts also don’t do much justice to the age of the blog which is already more than 4 months old.

Having said that, Massage Geeks is the place to be if you are interested, not only in the art but also in the trade of massage. There are some really useful and informative articles that are worthy reads and some of my favorites includes:

Acupressure Points – Simple DIY tips on where to apply pressure to overcome everyday problems like cramps, headaches, sinus problems etc.

Teaching Clients To Breathe – The benefits and ways to breathe properly.

Massage Geeks is on the look out for writers who fit in to their niche and they are willing to pay if you fit their bill. Getting paid writers will definitely improve the quality and posting consistency of this blog from which I see, if properly managed and popularized has lots of potential as a good money earner. Lots of Advertisers in health care business, pharmaceutical products and the likes will be interested in a blog like this.

You said “…has only been filled up with more than 40 posts under more than 20 categories which I felt was a little bit in excess. The 40+ posts also don’t do much justice to the age of the blog which is already more than 4 months old.”

I’m confused. Are you saying: (1) 20 categories is too many; and (2) 40+ posts in 4 months is not enough posts?

Or are you saying: (1) 40 posts is a bit in excess; and (2) the quality of the 40+ posts doesn’t do justice to the 4 month old blog.

Thanks for clarifying.

Micheal

The 40+ posts were categorized under more than 20 categories. Some post were listed under 3 or 4 categories which I felt was a little bit in excess.

So you are right. 20+ categories is too many and 40+ posts for a blog of 4 months means an average of only 10 post per month which I feel was a little bit on the low side.

Hope that clarifies things a bit :-)
