MattGeri.com just released a NoFollow WordPress plugin that will automatically add the NoFollow attribute to all your outgoing links. I uploaded the plugin but still undecided whether to activate it. I don’t actually like links which does not follow. It makes the purpose of linking to posts or articles I like totally irrelevant. When I see an article I like to share, I like to link it in a way that my readers will know, the author will know and of course I want Googles to know that here is a great article out there.
For example. I just linked Mattgeri.com about this great plugin. Now all those reading this will know he has a useful plugin. Matt will know. Googles will know. It benefits all and it’s fun linking like that.

What would be nice is a plugin that gave choices to no/do follow per blocks of links i.e comments, content, sidebar, nav.
I have done most of mine by hand. Still haven’t found the code that builds the category list.
I sure wouldn’t use a Nofollow plugin unless it was highly configurable.
Hey There,
Thanks for the “dofollow” link
Your post brings up some great points! I definitely plan on adding features to the plugin where you can specify which posts and even links you want nofollow added to. I am hoping to release it within the next week or so.
Have a great day,

My exact same thought. I still DoFollow all my links.
Matt
That would be a great improvement. I got you in my feeds, so no worries, once the new version comes up, I will let everyone know.
I am waiting for the mods by Matt Geri and will install it as soon as there is an option to choose which link to follow and which not.
