There are two school of thoughts when it comes to making money with your blogs. The conventional school will teach you to write tons of high quality and unique contents so you can attract lots of loyal readers which you, in turn can leverage on, and make money from the sheer numbers of reader that you have. This school of thoughts places importance on building a solid foundation so your blog can withstand the trials and turbulence of the Internet and come out unscratched. However, more often than not, these kind of blogs takes years and years to build and even longer if you want to make money from it.
With the emergence of something called Web 2 and the rising popularity of Social Bookmarking sites, a modern school of thoughts on blogging sprouted up. Rather unconventional and spited by many who calls these new age bloggers black hatters, these new school emphasise on making money fast with skills in Search Engine Optimization being the top priority as they depend largely on organic traffic rather than loyal readers. Suffice to say, many from the old school who failed to make any headway, turned to this more practical way of making money online with these new thoughts.
Since the emphasis is not on keeping their readers but rather trying to make them find an exit route to leave early, high quality content and looks are not exactly their top priority when comes to starting such blogs. Thus, bloggers of this genre, tend to make their blog’s looks and content as boring as they possibly can, so when a visitor comes along, they will actually feel compelled to leave as fast as possible and the fastest way is by clicking on the Ad links. This is exactly what this theme I am introducing today aims to do. Bore the hell out of your visitors so they will leave via your Ad links in search of other sources of information that they were looking for but failed to find in your blog.
Like the name suggest, this got to be the boring-est theme I have ever seen in my whole life and Frank must have bored himself to death coming up with such a theme. His intention is to bore the hell out of anybody who looks at this theme and I would say he has scored top points in this area. LOL!
The boring looks is the main selling point of this theme because then you will be able to insert in really visible Ads with eye catching colored headlines, making the Ads a perfect getaway for the bored visitor. Now is that not a wonderful way to make money?
Of course since this theme is suppose to be Ads friendly rather than people friendly, there is a ready option for you to insert your 336 x 280 large rectangle Ads inline on the top left section of your singles post page. According to Adsense gurus, that spot is the golden triangle for Ads placement and it converts the best. Demo and download links are available at OpTempo dot com.

Hi Costa,
Thanks for the mention and the nice write up on the theme. Of course, many will just hit the back button but if you get 10-20% clicking the ads in the right niches you’ll make some money.
No problem Frank. It was a pleasure.
For those looking for information, I would feel the Ads, if relevant, will be a better choice rather than hitting the back button and start their search all over again.
wat happen to the good old days of blogging for writing down your thoughts and opinions? now everyone is only into it for the money. tssk tssk tssk
Hi Ohkulala,
I did that from 1999 through 2006. I gave away a lot of free and helpful information on ad-free websites. I got laid off from my job doing computer programming in 2006 and had trouble finding a new job due to my age. So I said, “Screw that” and I put ads on my sites. The info is still there, just with ads. I also started building sites specifically to attract search engine traffic not too long after that. I’d rather make money from guiding people toward an product or service they really want to buy than trying to sell loyal readers on some worthless eBook or training course by conning them into trusting me.
Yes, Ohkulala,
Sometimes we have to very specific. There are blogs and then there are blogs. This blog for example do not carry much ads for I am sticking to the old school of thoughts for this blog. Frank too has a blog that I know of that gives good information and has fantastic contents.
Having said that, There is a fine line between making money unethically or with a clear consience and that will lie with the individual blogger and their upbringing, I guess.
