    But then I would say Mr G is the main public transport provider. Many people rely on Mr G’s free transportation service. There are other mode of transport, but Mr G’s transportation service is still the most popular because it is fast and quick. lol

  2. Good points. I agree that you don’t think it is essential to be indexed by Google, than you can play by your own rules (or Yahoo! ones).

    Given how things are going on the Internet, however, I would be careful before regarding Google as just one of the factors. It is the main one for most of us.

  4. You have some very good points. Right now, Google is nearly irrelevant for my blog because nearly all the traffic is social and referral and nearly none is from search engines.
    On the other hand, my other sites are nearly totally dependent on Google for traffic.
    Daniel is right though there may be something more than Google PR involved.
