I think I got lost in all the information about blogging successfully out there. All that has been written about increasing traffic and how simple and easy it is and that you can do it in “10 easy steps” as professed by many self appointed blog gurus whose own blog receives less than 100 visitors each day seems really too far fetch. I mean, if you have really such great tips, how come your own blog is doing so miserably. Or are they just parroting what real gurus have taught.
Another realization is of all the tricks and tips I read, never have I came across one that says or at least give a passing mention that they actually spent money to get what they have today. I really cannot understand why it is such a taboo to mention that they have paid for what they got through Paid Directory Listings, through Adwords, through Press Releases or any other paid means. Do admitting to these expenditure makes them looks less successful? Maybe they don’t want people to say that the bought their fame.
Is there really a “10 easy Steps” to Increase traffic?
How I wish there are some really successful bloggers who would do a good breakdown of all the paid methods. As it is now, it is as though all those successful blogs are what they are now without spending a single cent. How nice if someone can come up with a post that list out all the most effective “paid” methods, rather than reading oft-repeated “Easy Steps” that lots of guru wannabes are trying to teach.
What I really want to read is someone saying “there are no easy steps” and we have to spend some money in order to kick-start our blogs. I really don’t mind spending a little money if this can help out in giving this blog a slight push, but I sure would like to read the opinions of those who have used the various methods and give some hints on how to get the best value for the money spent.

Read with a pinch of salt. Why bother about blog traffic?
U blog for ur own fun ,If u are good, the traffic will soon pick up. Trying to increase traffic if there is nothing worth to read is like prostituting ur worth.
Not all can make money from the internet.
Yayaya, so true. I never show the bruises and the scars I got from getting 0 traffic to 1K now. I think by the time I reach 10K, I will get chopped up into 18 pieces liao. LOL.
Laura,
Ya.. agree, but even with fantastic contents, how long will that take for people to notice if we don’t utilize those “traffic increasing” tactics?
Lilian,
You should post about your adventures. I sure would like to know a thing or two!

Jangan bohong sama gua ok..Maybe you so new, you still haven’t heard of Ah Pek.
ah pek, i think fast way is only practical for those gurus with great topics and contents.
spend $$$ to do so will be a shortcut way to do so, but it really depends on your contents to retain loyal readers.
