There was a time not so long ago that I was a blissful blogger, blogging blissfully without a care in the world. Writing away in ignorant bliss thinking hey, what is so hard about blogging. There is nothing to it. I write, I post and I write again. What is so difficult about that. Anyone can do it, anyone can have a blog, which is very true in a sense. How I wished I have remained ignorant till this day. I would still be blogging without a care in the world.
The problem started when I started making friends. I see their blogs having more than 30 comments while mine have only 2. It puzzled me and that was when I started digging around. The more I dug, the more curious I became and the more curious I became, the more I realize that blogging is a whole new ball game. There is more to it than write, post, write and the initial bliss started to slowly wear off. Maybe it is the ego, maybe it could be greed, I don’t know, but somehow, I started feeling very uncomfortable with the 2 readers that I was having.
More confusions cropped up when I was told money could be made form my blog. This time greed definitely played a big part. From a naive, blissful blogger, I slowly turned into a confused, greedy and money faced monster. I started scouring the net for information on how money could be made and not a day passes without me dreaming of becoming an Internet millionaire. Fueled with all the hyped created by all those money making gurus, telling me how easy it is, the green eyed monster in me began on a journey into blogging hell. There was no more fun in blogging anymore. I have transformed into a blog zombie.
Groping around blindly, gobbling and digesting every advise, every hint and every tip that came my way like a hungry ghost, I stumbled and bruised my fragile ego ever so thoroughly that I could go on no more. In front of me was a multi junction road with a hundred roadsigns pointing to a hundred different destinations. I was lost. Lost in a sea of deceit and hypocrisy. Lost in a land that they called the blogosphere.

Dear Costa, is it why you’re not updating your other blog?
For personal blogs (not this one lar), you have to socialize and actually care for what others have to say on their blogs. You see, it’s human nature to like ppl who like us.
Apart from Kenny and a few others, most bloggers get their comments from their little community. There’s no hypocrisy. You give a damn to what they say, they’ll give a damn to what you’ll have to say. lol
That’s my opinion.
I was like that at first too (sadly). Since then I have cleared my entire blog and started fresh, hopefully I’ve improved haha.
