What is a nimble headed blogger? A nimble headed blogger is some one like me. I can’t make up my mind on the kind of template I want to use. Once i was very sure I needed a 3 column theme so I can ad in lots of stuffs to make my blogs looks real busy. After a while, I changed my mind because some one said it looks very cluttered and I have been reading, a cluttered blog will not make people stay for long. So I decided to clean up the clutter and settled for this 2 column theme instead.
That is the problem when you know a little of everything and master of nothing. We tend to put into practise what we have read, not making an effort to dig deeper to find out if what we read really works. We just sort of take it for granted that it will work because it worked for the guy who wrote that it worked for him. Like heck, maybe the guy who wrote it did not even try it and he too was copying the idea from some one else! So where does that leave us? The blind leading the blind, we will all end up in the drain, that’s where we are heading.
Okay, what have I been reading. A cluttered blog shortens your reader’s visiting time. Who said that? Did anyone do a research on that? They just imagined that a cluttered blog will discourage your readers from staying. I am sure all have you have visited porn sites. They are really cluttered aren’t they? Did you get leave early because of the clutter or did you click away on what is cluttered there. I bet my gout infected knee will never get better that you guys clicked like nobody’s business. What does that tells us? It tells us that clusters are okay as long they are interesting clusters.
So since I don’t agree that a cluttered blog is no good, why the hell then did I clean up my blog that it looks so inactive now? I am nimble minded, that’s why. Even though I don’t agree, I stuck to the norm because people said so, and I want to be on the safe side. There is always a question of “what if” lingering around, but don’t be surprise if you come back in a few days and see this blog all cluttered again. I am a nimble headed, remember?
Cluttered blogs can be a terrible experience for visitors. The worst of these offenders are political bloggers. They put WAY too much stuff in their sidebars.

My blog is a bit too cluttered but I’m a bit too lazy to change it.
