Artisteer is an amateur Theme designer’s dream come true. Any one who is familiar with Windows will be able to use this piece of software to come up with a very professional looking theme. The beta version lets you make WordPress and Joomla themes and there is even a Blogger Theme option though it is not available yet with the beta version which I downloaded yesterday.
I haven’t had time to fully explore the software but from initial testing, it sure does looks promising. The interface is very user friendly with all the options clearly line up at the top. For those who are less creative, the option to let Artisteer choose the layout, fonts, blocks, buttons and all for you comes in very handy. From the example below, their choices are not too bad either.
There is of course the option for you to create something that is totally unique and for that, you are given many choices to personalize. I haven’t explored that portion in depth so I can’t say much, but the available options available looks very promising. With this piece of software anyone can design WordPress Themes now. There are less than 500 beta licences available still at this time of writing, so if you want to check out this software you better hurry. There is no word about the final release date though.
Update: Version 2 has been released and it looks very promising.

I saw your blog address on the Warrior Forum on Saturday, decided to download the Artisteer software yesterday. Then this morning I installed it; all I can say is wow I am impressed this is full of possibilities for setting up my own blogs & maybe a website. I like it. Wonder if it will fully function with wordpress & add-ons (fantastico) & mysql database. This makes it look easy, really easy. I’m glad I found you.
Cheers have a nice day

You are most welcome, Keren.
I got in on the beta and so far very impressed with the ease of using this to create themes. Minor correction to your post…The release date mentioned on their site is September 1st.
Best
Steve
Thanks for the info. Steve
Looks like there was a delay with Artisteer release but it’s finally available today. Love it!
I generally like Artisteer, too – would like to see more customization features, especially in terms of layout, but for the price it’s hard to complain.
My biggest concern is that the new version seems buggy – keeps crashing when I use the color selector. Artisteer hasn’t responded to my complaints, so that makes me pretty hesitant to get too dependent on their software.
Hi Lowell,
You are right. Lance, (the comment above this) from Artisteerhelp acknowledges this. I am sure they are doing everything they can to wipe out the bugs.
I have taken V2 for a spin and except for a couple of minor issues, it seems very promising for people who wants to create their own unique theme.
Thanks for the feedback.
