Blog Contest Are in Vogue.

Received an email from Edward of The BlogBeat about an ongoing contest in his blog. Winner gets 2 months free advertisement in The Blog Beat and all you have to do is to give Edward a link in a post like this to his homepage or to an article that you like. Edward only needs one link, but I am going to give him more than that. I am adding him to my permanent blogroll in my sidebar as the Blog Beat is the kind of blog I like to keep in touch with.

From The Blog Beat, I was reminded to re-visit The Daily Moolah, a blog which I visited two days ago, when I saw his blog being advertised in John Chow’s sidebar. The Daily Moolah won the Advertisement spot in JohnChow dot com from eMonetised. From the Daily Moolah, I learned some finer trick about StumbleUpon which I tried to put into practise but did not meet expected results. I an a great fan of StumbleUpon as I have seen what a single Stumble can do to an article. Melissa of SEOAware is a great Stumbler. There is an Advanced StumbleUpon Secret posted by The Daily Moolah which I hope to put into practise. This blog is seriously lacking in readership and subscriptions. I think the Daily Moolah also deserves a place in my blogroll too.

I think one of these days, I should also do a contest in this blog. It looks like a cool way to attract traffic. Everyone is holding a contest of some sort these days. There are even blogs dedicated to reporting blog contest only. Like a contest directory of sorts and they seemed to be doing okay. Contest hungry bloggers and readers check out their blogs for the latest news and the latest contest being held all over the Blogosphere.

I take an interlude here to remind bloggers to stick an “archive page” like the one you see here or at least use the “related post” plugin at the end of your single post so when people want to search for an article to link in their blogs they will have an easier time. Why did I swerve all of a sudden in the middle of something different? It’s because I went over to Bloggrrl trying to locate the post about the blog that Blogs about Blog Contest and I couldn’t find it.

When I feel like sharing my income, I give. I hate those contest stuffs that cheapens the giver. *whisper mode* Especially those who give 1GB thumb drive and expects people to make a post for them. I will take the thumb drive and shove it up their arse if they dare write to me and ask me to promote their contest. And you know what? I do get morons like that thinking I so generous to entertain their email.
