Blog For Sale

For the past few weeks I have been giving this blog some thought. I went over my old articles. Tried to figure out where this blog is heading and whether I should keep on wasting my time here or move on to do other things. I finally came to the conclusion that I should move on. Blogging about blogging is not for me after all.

First of all, I am no Maki. Though I pride myself to be able to write reasonably good English, the ideas are not forthcoming. I can go and read tons of materials on blogging, but in the end, what I write here will be parroted ideas albeit presented differently but without any freshness in it. I will then end up among the thousands of others out there who imagines themselves to be gurus in blogging but are in fact trying to cheat themselves as well as who ever is reading their blogs that they are blogging experts. No. I do not want to be part of that crowd.

I have to face the harsh reality that I am no blogging genius and trying to make a blog about blogging work as I have intended it to, is almost like finding a cure to my gout infected big toe. Maybe I did not put in enough effort to make it work. Maybe I am not brash enough to bulldoze my way through and spare no thought that I might be leading my readers to Blog Waterloo, but there comes a time when one realizes their true ability and weakness. I think I have seen this realization and I honestly believe it’s time for me to do other things rather than hanging on to some futile dream.

I have yet to list this sale at Sitepoint as I want those who are and have been loyal to this blog a first crack at this sale. I do not have any encouraging figures or earnings to show so I do not really know how much this blog is worth except that it has a very brandable name, PR3, an Alexa ranking of 230,803 and more than 120 subscribers at this time of writing. I am sure those who have the expertise and know how will be able to to push this blog to a new horizon so those who are interested, please do contact me using my contact form with your offer. However, I reserve the right to accept any offers I deemed fitting and I shall not be bound by selling to the highest bidder. I’ll close this offer in two weeks where if there are no acceptable bids, place this blog at SitePoint’s marketplace.

Update – 09-05-08

Though I promised to leave this offer here for 2 weeks, I am taking his offer down with immediate effect. Thanks to all that have sent me enquiries about the sale, but I have decided not to sell this blog.

There will be some revamps and new directions for this blog. Postings will resume on Monday.

Dude, it would’ve been a real shame if you sold this off. I believe you had the passion for articles and I want more time on my hands so I can read more of your articles. :)

So don’t sell it…keep it and continue it.

p.s: It’ll be worth even more later too.
