It’s getting incredibly hard to break out of the shell. Not that it has been easy, but with thousands of blogs being started everyday, competing to stay in front, no, I should say competing to the front line is almost an impossible mission. I would be happy if I can make it to the top 50,000. Though Technoratic ranks this blog 32,115 it does no justice as everyone knows Technorati only looks at the backlinks you get in determining their ranks and links don’t come easy these days. Anybody who has the know how and ability to manipulate their incoming links will forge ahead even if they have an inactive blog.

John Chow wrote about The Ramp and how he was able to get himself to the front page of Digg 30 times, sometimes 5 times in a row to break into what he describe as The Ramp. Of course he is not teaching us the “ways” (maybe if you pay him enough, he might) but for bloggers like us, there is no way we will be able to twist and turn things the way he does. So what he wrote will just remain as an inspiration and a dream to all. Being dugg to the front page for once or twice is already a dream come true. To be dugg 30 times is an impossible dream. For me, being dugg 5 times is already a blog record! LoL

We gets disillusioned by what what we see. This blog gets stumbled a fair number of times and each time, I see a good surge in traffic, but the surge last only for a couple of hours and it reverts back to it’s original state with only slight gains. It is time like this that we hope and wish someone out there will give us that small tiny push that we so desperately needs. A good recommendation from someone reputable is worth much more than any campaign that you might be thinking off, but it is a realistic world. You want someone to give you that kick on your rear portion so you can land among the front line, you have to be ready to pay big bucks. After all, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Until now, that is.

There is a knight in shiny armor around after all. Riding in from the horizon not so far away, Courtney Tuttle has open up his blog for people like us to have a platform to make ourselves known a little bit better. He has allowed bloggers to Blog On CourtneyTuttle.com Though not as big as John Chow or Darren Rowse yet, (as I believe in time to come, he will) Courtney Tuttle has nearly 1000 subscribers and with base like that, you can bet his daily uniques will be many times more. To be given a chance to blog there will be a golden opportunity for many, including me to get he much needed exposure.

It is going to be a win win situation for everybody. On a one to one basis, we will be getting the advantage. On the one to whole basis, Court might be richly rewarded for his noble deed too. A blog like mine here with an average of 200 to 250 uniques, will work to my advantage if I blog there and tap into Court’s audiences. However if 20 to 30 blogs like mine blogs at Courtney Tuttle, then Court have a potential pool of 5000 to 7500 visitors going to his blog. So you see, doing good deeds have it’s rewards.
