As in all new soft wares, there are bound to be some glitches that the developers missed before the final release. Though I downloaded the latest version of Wordpress, Getz, I did not rush headlong into upgrading, preferring to wait for others to upgrade and listening to their problems first.

I did a search for “Glitches in Wordpress 2.2″ this morning but there was not a single result reporting any glitches. There could be a few reasons. My search term is not relevant enough. People who have upgraded do not post about the problems. The Bug was to minor to be noticeable or maybe this latest version is really bug free. I will say hallelujah to that.

However on checking out Johnchow.com just now, there indeed is a small problem present with Wordpress 2.2. John Chow posted that

I see one bug so far. My side bar widget seem to have messed up. It’s showing two Feature Sites box and my Top Commentators and MyBlogLog box has gone missing. Anyone else have this problem?

He has decided to revert back to Version 2.1.3 while waiting for the bug to be fixed. However that was the only blog that has brought up the problem, so I am still in dark if it’s a personal problem of it the fault really lies with Wordpress. Nevertheless, I will stick out for another week or so before upgrading to see if any major problem happens.
