Dehydrated From Blogging

A person gets dehydrated because they lost too much liquid, either from over exercising or maybe from a bad bout of flu with all the running nose and all. In either case, we can literally say that they have been drained of their juices.

As in both the cases mentioned, a blogger too gets dehydrated after sometimes. We too gets drained of our juices and we start to feel lethargic, not wanting to do any thing at all. We just want to stay away from blogging for a few days.

It gets real tiring trying to come up with fresh and unique contents day in and day out and we start to question ourselves why we bother anyway. It is an ironical situation when we can’t find the true motive of us wanting to blog. Why are we blogging anyway? Is it simply for the pleasure of writing? For monetary gains or maybe for fame? I asked myself that question many times and have yet to find a truthful answer that I can live with.

In analysing, when I started my first blog, it was because some patronizing friends tells me I have a flair for writing. Some even goes to the extent of asking me to write a book and I was naive enough to believe them. Thus, the first and foremost reason for blogging was the imagination of great fame and wide recognition for my “writing prowess” I have been proven dead wrong about this. There are practically millions who writes better than me as I was to find out.

However there is really something mysteriously addicting about blogging. Once we start, we don’t feel like stopping. Even though we realized that we will never be able to make it to the top, we don’t seemed to be able to discard the fantasy that maybe one day we will make it. I must admit that I am living in this fantasy right now and I doubt I will ever wake up. Some days, I hope someone will pinch me and tell me straight in my face, “wake up man, you will never be a top blogger!” Problem is, will I be able to bring myself to believe in this fact? Will you?
