Do SEO Optimised Themes Work.

I am a sucker for new wordpress themes as all my regular readers know. I change themes like I change clothes. I have a weakness when it come to new themes, especially those that claims to have been optimised for Search Engines.

As I am no SEO guru, all I can do is to depend on others to optimize my theme for me. If the theme comes Optimized all the better. I think I must have tried out every theme that has a SEO attached to it. Frankly? I don’t see much different in Search hits if I use one that is not optimized as compared to the Optimized version. From the little that I have gathered and learned there is not much of an optimization that any theme designer can do except to add in some codes so that Search Spiders sees the most important part of your blogs first.

So taking that in context, Search Engines won’t find anything if what you have written or your post’s content, which is supposed to be the most important part of your blog, contains nothing of interest to be found. In short, what you have written is the best Optimisation that you can get.

Maybe it’s because I am using all the free themes and not ones that were done by SEO experts, but in my opinion, even if you have a ordinary theme and you practice proper SEO tactics offered by experts, Search Hits will still be forthcoming. So don’t need to waste your time looking for SEO themes. Just use the one that suits your blog or one that appeals to you. For me, I find them nearly every week!

I came across this post while searching for seo optimized theme. I have to disagree with you. Some of the wordpress themes out there are designed by graphic designers who has no clue about seo. I have seen a significan effect in getting after changing the theme. But you need to give the theme some time to show its effect.
Have you thought of changing to a theme which doesn’t support seo title tag. Try it and you will see your traffic dipping.
