Domain Redirect

All those who came here following the link makanon.com, don’t be surprised or think that the domain have been hijacked. I just bought a new domain and have redirected all my traffic here, not that this blog has many to be proud of. Initially I was thinking of creating a totally new blog but considering the fact that I am already tied down updating 3 full time blogs, doing another one won’t serve any purpose and if I did, the quality of the post will be compromised. Furthermore, I can’t think of a niche that have not been used yet or one that I am good in.

The reason I bought this new domain was the name of the previous one. I bought that from a friend so I had no choice to use it, but the longer I looked at it, the more I hatred it.  I considered using my name for this Domain, but refrained as blogs with personal names could be tough to get rid of if one day I decide to stop all my online activities. There is no special reason for this name. It sounds nice and it was available, so I took it.

This blog will continue with what I have been concentrating on all this while and that is trying to learn and read up on all the SEO tips taught by experts out there and try to implement it here to see it will bear any results.  So far, I am certain that stumble on works if you have a topic that is good enough to be stumbled upon. I got one article stumbled and it brought in an avanlanche of hits for 2 days. Till today I can still see hits trickling in from that stumble.

Another thing that seems to work wonders for incoming links is taking part in group writing projects. I took part in 2 that was organized by respectable bloggers and till today, links are still coming in.

I still have tons of tweaking to do for this blog after the major migration and I am still looking for ideas on how to do it with the least hassle. One thing I have no actually come to terms with is the theme. I like this copyblogger theme very much but I am not good at tweaking it, so in the meantime, I will leave it as it is until something better comes up.
