We believed people didn’t want to talk to cars and that people wanted to talk to other people and the only way we at Motorola, this little company, could prove this to the world was to actually show we could build a cellular telephone, a personal telephone. Something that would represent an individual so you could assign a number not to a place, not to a desk, not to a home but to a person.
That was in the late 60s and the penetration of mobile phones grew at such a mind boggling rate that even Mr. Cooper could not have envisioned. This industry spawned a whole new era for related industries that complimented each other so well that the simple hand-phone that was once just used to make and receive calls has mutated into a device so powerful that it is now even possible to do things that the most complex computers were doing. Pretty soon, companies were developing Mobile Content to take advantage of this spectacular growth.
This mobile phone also became a fashion fad amongst the young and trendy, offering another opportunity for business minded people and companies like Cellware, to tap into this vast market reputed to posses the strongest buying powers.
