Group Writing Project – Blogging Goals For 2008

by Costa on December 19, 2007

This is another new age blogging tip that works. Take part in group writing projects. Especially those started by A-list Bloggers. For one, it gives you a topic to write. Two, you will get listed on the top blogger’s blog and three, once the list is up, all other participants will copy and paste the list in their blogs and you get lots of linkbacks and that is the bonus you get. Never mind the traffic. It will not be shocking. The linkbacks will be good for your Technorati Ranking if you treasure that still. Check my post about my beer belly and you will see why. It remains as one of my “Most Popular Post” till today.

Today, I will be writing for a Group Writing Project By DailyBlogTips, which is a very popular blog with nearly 8000 subscribers. The topic for this project is:

2008 Blogging Goals.

I don’t know if I should define mine as goals. A goal is something that we strives hard to achieve, not to say i won’t be striving, but to set a goal and not achieving it will be very disappointing. I will thus define mine not as goals but as dreams. That would be easier to digest. Should my dreams fail to materialize, I can still keep dreaming.

2008 Blog Gig’s Blogging Dreams.

I am quiet sure all the bloggers taking part in this project will want to see an increase in their readers and I am no different. I dream that by the end of 2008, my readers will be around 10,000 per day. No joke. I do dream of this figure everyday. I have one whole year to make this dream come true.

Then of course the other dream is to see my subscribers count hit the 5k figure.

I also dream I can sell my sidebar button Ads here at $300 a piece, which will make me $1,800 monthly, if my first 2 dreams comes true, that is.

At present, the reviews I get, though not so often, are priced at $100. My dream is to get 4 reviews per month for $200 in the year 2008. That would mean another $800

Then I dream that I will be able to make $600 monthly from my other ads, rounding up my monthly income for this blog to a nice figure of $3000 per month.

Those are big fat dreams, I know, but if I am allowed to dream, I would rather dream big. LOL. We can all dream. It’s easy to dream, to make those dreams come true is another matter, but what the hell. All great things started with a dream. So let’s dream on! If those dreams don’t come true in 2008, there is always 2009, 2010, 2011….

Keep thinking about them. Put it up as a large list on your wall or door so you’ll always stay focus. The desire to want it as bad will create an attraction for it to come. :)

I think that’s what I’m gonna do. Put a large white piece of paper somewhere to remind myself in 2008, I am going to achieve these things.

I actually think those are some pretty great goals, and you definitely need to put your mind to them and stick with them. Don’t give up, and you’ll have surpassed those goals in no time. ;)
