How long does it take for man to go to the moon and back?
According to ChaCha dot com,
The Apollo despite it’s outdated technology by today’s standard, took 3 days, 3 hours, 49 minutes to get to the moon. So a to and fro journey will take roughly 7 days with a stopover tea break on the moon.
How long before an averagely healthy human will die of starvation?
According to ChaCha dot com again,
One will last no more than 3-4 days with no water. One will last about 30-45 days with no type of food at all.
How long does it take for shareAsale to pay it’s international affiliate?
According to ShareASales‘s FAQ,
Payments are sent out on the 20th of every month, for the previous month’s commissions. Checks are usually delivered within 14 days, but can take up to 90 days to be delivered internationally.
Which means to say, if I make $500 in February, the check will be sent on the 20th of March and will arrive on the 20th of June. Then it will take another month before it is cleared into my account. So from the month I made the sales to the month I get my dues, it will be nearly 5 months.
By which time, man would have made roughly 20 round trips to the moon and back on an outdated Apollo standard spacecraft.
Also by which time, I would be have died of starvation 5 times over, should I be dependent on this earning to buy my daily bread.
That’s why I will not be promoting the Thesis Theme as vigorously as I did before.
That’s why I wanked off the Thesis link from my best performing Slider bar in favor of the Headway Theme.
That’s why I feel Brain Clark should take a real serious look into this before all his international affiliates quit for good.
Or maybe, international affiliates do not contribute much and is too negligible to be of any significance.

5 months to payout! Now someone really needs to fix that issue at Shareasale.
Yea… fat hope.
You know the “little rocks tripped the carriage”. Today, you stop promoting as heavy as u used to Thesis, tomorrow it’s someone else, to the point where the owners will feel the effect.
It’s kind of funny, yet sad how a given product becomes popular, and in the beginning you are doing everything for your business partners, then as soon as you star making enough cash, you start to “screw” them over.
A 5 month payout, is not ridiculous, it’s beyond insane.
Self-help gurus, say “When you think, you are the bomb, soon enough u get the bomb”
Fact was when Brian Clark made the announcement about the switch in his blog, many international affiliates commented their complains.
He simply closed the comments.
Being in a “third world country” myself, Costa, I feel your pain. Currently, I am relying on manipulating payments to and from a local bank and two PayPal accounts, one for this country and one for the US. The only saving grace is that Google pays to my local bank, which is in my name only due to restrictions on dollar accounts, and send Western Union payments (without any fees) to my wife for her Google account.
Everything else is a transfer, transfer game but I pay my $60+ hosting fees, Skype (international to land lines and cell phones plus an online number) and other things with PayPal (and I think I actually have about $400 extra in my US account).
Chitika and Infolinks pay monthly. Affiliate sales tend not to, so I tend to not put much reliance on them.
Despite everything, I love PayPal. I can make direct withdrawals to my local bank account or my card account and have my dough within 5 working days.
Love Google Adsense even more. I get instant cash withdrawals from most local banks a day after payment is issued via Western Union.
Baffles me as to why ShareASale being such a giant network, do not utilize such payment methods.
Costa,
To clear a few things up, here is how payments work from ShareASale.
As you stated, all commissions earned during a given month (example March) are sent on the 20th of the following month (April 20th in this example).
Those payments are sent either by direct deposit (USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and many EURO nations in the European Union.) Direct deposits take anywhere from 1 to a few days to get to your bank account depending on your bank.
The remainder of payments are sent via mail or FedEx (your option). How long they take to get to you will vary based upon the mail delivery in your location. The vast majority of checks are received within a week or so, but there are some locations in the world where mail will take a longer time to arrive. Unfortunately, this isn’t something we can control but it is very rare for checks to take as long as you suggest. We simply list the 90 days because we have seen a few occasions where international mail has taken that long to arrive. Usually by then we cancel and resend by request of the affiliate.
If anyone has questions about their ShareASale account or is seeing long delays in delivery of payments please email me at Brian@ShareASale.com and I’ll try to help out any way I can.
We do not choose to payout commissions via Paypal or other similar systems due to security concerns. We do, however, add countries to our direct deposit list when they become available.

Thanks for the clarification, Mr. Littleton.
Fact is, till today, my check for February sales, that was sent on the 20th of March has yet to arrive, and it’s already been a month or a day less.
I do understand it is beyond your power to decide the delivery time for international mails.
What I was hoping for is maybe ShareASale should consider some other payment options for affiliates outside your Direct Deposit zone.
For your information, Malaysian Banks do offer Western Union banking services.
Costa,
We definitely consider international payment options all the time – but we do need to make sure that they are 100% secure as well which is often the larger challenge than finding something fast/easy. Sometimes, solutions that would seem to be fast and easy just don’t scale when you are talking about scaling it to pay 1000s of affiliates in a secure manner.
I am surprised that the check sent March 20th has taken so long to arrive, can you let me know when it does? What is the typical mail delivery time for you from the US ?
-Brian
Thank you for your time and consideration, Mr. Littleton.
Mails from the US to my shores usually will not take more than 2 weeks.
Hopefully the check has not been lost in transit. I will wait it out for a couple of more days before making any request to cancel and resend.
Will definitely let you know and do a post once I receive the check.
Thanks again.
