How To Sell A Product In Your Wordpress Blog

Nope. I am not giving you any tips on how you can sell your own products in your blog. That will be something for Internet Marketing gurus, which obviously I am not. Rather, I will only be showing those who are new to creating sites on how to create a page in your WordPress Blog where you can upload your own product and sell them yourself through PayPal.

Learning curve wise, it will be a piece of cake for those who already know how to make a html site and getting the site online. For those who are totally new, it might take some brain juice draining. Worry not though. I won’t be getting too technical and it will almost be like leading you step by step through your nose.

Right, first things first. First you have to know what goes into a simple web site. Forget about CSS or php or whatever you might have heard or read about creating web sites. What we are going to do is so very simple that you will only need to learn some basic html and you will be on your way.

To make things easy and very straight forward, there are a few tools you will need so you can insert a “PAY” or “BUY” button which will lead the buyer to their PayPal page and then after paying, lead them back to the download page where they can download the product that they have bought.

Next you will need a simple html editor where you can edit the few core files needed to make the transaction successful.

Of course I do not need to mention you will need a product to sell. It should be a downloadable one and not one that you need to ship physically. Can be an eBook you have just written, a song, a video or whatever you think people will want with any price you want.

You need to have these 2 programs before you can start.

I am sorry, but that is the way it is. If you want to do business, you have to make a small investment, but 7 bucks is nothing and one sale will bring back everything. You can use the script for unlimited sites selling unlimited products.

So before I proceed to the next post, download what is needed and get a feel of things first.
