How To Send Newsletters With Your WordPress Blog

I do not know if it holds any truth, for bloggers especially, but lots of gurus tells us that it is a good thing to have our own newsletters. It’s suppose to be a good way to retain your readers. It is something I have never thought of doing as a blogger, now or anywhere in the near future. Well, at least not until I have something of my own to sell in my blog and become a blog marketer and I was never an email marketer.

Newsletters is an important part of Internet marketing. It is the front line of the battlefield. Before any product launch, newsletters will be sent out as a warm up weeks before to the big launch day. The newsletter, depending on how well it is written can make or break your products sales. Thus most bloggers, especially those successful ones who has thousands of readers and subscribers makes their mission to increase the mailing list if they have plans to sell something via their blog.

In all instances, the tips you get via these newsletters will be of premium quality. These bloggers will try to be as helpful as they possibly can to the point that the guy who are receiving those news thinks of them as saints. They will hope to get you hooked so deep that you will not want to let go lest you miss out on anything better in their next mail. Once these guy feels that they have fed you enough of those goodies and you are ripe for plucking or slaughter, they will launch whatever they have been planning to sell.

I think it will be safe to say at least 60 percent of those who has been receiving all those premium tips will be vulnerable enough to buy whatever they are selling. It is human nature of not wanting to lose out and also a feeling of guilt if they do not support the guy who has been so good to them in the past.

To produce convincing newsletters, one should never ever mention that you have a product up your sleeves that you hope to sell to them in the future. That would be letting the cat out of the bag. You should be only giving them the appetizer and not the main course. You should make their mouths water in anticipation of what will be served next.

A good example are newsletters from bloggers who are planning to sell a “How To Make Money Online” course. You will start with a post in your blog about giving away FREE tips on that subject if they subscribe to your newsletters. Then in your newsletters you will indeed be giving away various surefire methods that that will make them thousands each month. By the third or fourth one, they will already be swallowing their saliva over the potential that their blog has to be a big money churner. They now almost know all the methods of making big money online. They can’t wait to put it to practice in their pathetic little blog that has less than 50 unique visitors a day and you will be the guy who is is going to tell them how to increase that 100 folds so they can make thousands.

THEN comes the crunch, the main course. Your meat. Their poison.

In the following newsletters, you are going to tell them about this course that you are preparing or have prepared specially for all your subscribers. The course is going to reveal all your secrets. No holds barred. You give them a little sweetener saying it’s for your subscribers only and anyone outside will not get this or if they get it, it will be on different terms. You can even give them special bonuses if they register early.

If you have played your cards right, the ‘cha-ching’ sound should be ringing in your ears louder and sharper than the Bells of Baltimore.

So now you know the real motive behind a newsletter. However, no blog gurus ever told you that. They always say that it is for the good of your blog for some reason or another. Therefore, you too must have a newsletter of your own in your blog, no matter what. You did not even need to consider what you are going to write in those newsletters. But then there is a hitch. Professional oufits that handles these newsletter mailings cost money and it is a recurring fee, which means you have to pay monthly for their services and you are broke.

What can you do? Well, shout hallelujah. There is a DIY method that allows you to send periodic newsletters to whoever is interested for free and you can do it right out of your WordPress blog. How cool is that! Finally, a newsletter of your very own.
