Hunger Maketh An Evil Blogger

Sorry for the Shakespearean title. Just thought it looked catchy, not that it would make a good phrase for Search Engines. Sometimes, we just simply cannot phrase each and every post title to suit Oh Mighty G, we have to please ourselves too right?

Hunger Maketh A Blogger. By that I am not referring to the stomach growling kind of hunger. A hungry blogger in that case, will never be able to be a good blogger. He will be thinking of food instead of what to blog. Hunger in this case is hunger for success. Hunger for fame or ultimately, hunger for money.

When You Are Hungry, You Hunt.

Since neantherdal times, hunger has always been the motivating factor to keeps living things going. It is an inborn instinct that all living things survives on. When we are hungry, we are even ready to lose our lives in look for food.

When a blogger is hungry for success, he or she too turns to that basic animal instinct to survive. They start hunting. Hunting for tips, for inspiration, for ideas to make their blogs a success. In the process of these hunts, two type of bloggers will evolve. Some found fame via hard work. Others found fame via shrewdity, but both gained the fame that they hungered for.

As it is also human nature to want to succeed in the shortest possible time, many have turned to the dark side. Those who makes a successful crossover lives on to be worshipped by thousands. Even Darth Vader has his fans, no? Even Satan is worshipped by some, no? Those whose feeble attempts got stuck midway dies a slow and painful death, ridiculed by the masses for their ungentlemanly ways.

The lesson to be learned here is, if you are to be evil, be the evilest. An evil king who wins his kingdom with his evil ways, sometimes to the extent of betraying their own father, will be king for a long time to come simply for the reason that they are so evil that no enemies can match and overcome him.

For those bloggers who hunger for quick success, make sure you learn and use the most evil way that you can find, for once you reach the throne, no one will remember your evil ways. There might be some complaints and criticisms but by that time, you are already so well entrenched that even a tornado will not be able to unseat you.

Being evil is being evil. There are no two ways about it in the blogosphere. There is no such thing as a small evil or a big evil. If you are going to steal contents and ideas for your blog’s success thinking that this is only a small evil, you are dead wrong. It is also a crime that is equivalent to buying links so you will get a good page rank, or buying for diggs so your blogs gets propelled to the front page. At least the latter 2 evils will live on to be kings. The former get banished. So you choose. Be the lessor of the 2 evils or be the most evil of them all.

You see, I can understand and even tolerate a man’s survival instincts. If it’s a life and death situation, one should ensure their own survival by all means.

But then I cannot condone evil by stupid blogging acts becos so far, nobody has died of hunger from the blogosphere. At the end of the day, worse come to worst, go get a real job.

When you shutdown your PC, you still have to look yourself in the mirror. It’s still not worth it.

“Good is a point of view, Anakin. The Sith and the Jedi are similar in almost every way, including their quest for greater power.”
