Probloggers, Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett launched their much anticipated book titled “Secrets For Blogging Your Way To A Six Figure Income” today but very surprisingly, without much fanfare. I would have expected more bloggers blogging about this book but so far, I have only seen a couple of mentions. Maybe they are still going through the book that Darren Rowse sent them and has yet to draw any conclusions.
Since I’m just a small fry and won’t be in the mailing list of those who will be receiving the book for review, I won’t be talking about the book though it has gained some negative publicity from some quarters claiming that Darren Rowse is trying to scam his readers into believing that it is possible to make a six figure income from blogging.
Now I have been following Darren Rowse’s blog for the past two years and I do give him the benefit of doubt concerning this accusation, of being a scammer I mean. He has emphasised that whatever is inside the book is also available for free in his blog, so if they don’t feel like parting with their hard earned money, they can always read his blog. However, I have to concur that the title is indeed misleading or maybe I should say, exaggerated, but from a businessman’s point of view, this is one hell of a attention grabbing title and I think Copyblogger, Brian Clark will be the first to agree though I am very surprise he has not mention anything about this book in his blog. Anyway, like I say, I can’t talk much about the book’s content as I did not read it nor do I have any intention of buying the book since Darren had said whatever is inside the book is also in his blog, so if I buy the book, I will be reading something that I have read before. BUT for those who have already made up their mind that they must have the book no matter what or come what may, then click on the Amazon link at the top of this post.
