The latest Theme from Daily Blog Tips is called SubtleZen. It is a minimalist theme for WordPress which should appeal to bloggers who prefers to keep their blogs at bare minimum.
As I am not too big a fan of minimalist Themes, I did not download a copy for analyzation. However, themes like these are, in my opinion, perfect for niche blogs where you would want your readers to focus entirely on your contents and the Advertisements you serve. There are no fireworks or too many colors to distract your visitors, and I do agree with Daniel that it does have a very calm and Zen like feel.
Even though I do not like to look bland for this blog, I too use minimalist themes for my other niche blogs for the above reasons. Most of the visitors to niche blogs are there for the information and all they care is what you have to offer rather than stay and drool over your beautiful theme. If they can’t find what they are looking for they most probably will check out your Ads hoping to find what they are looking for and that’s the whole purpose for having a minimalist theme.
The Theme as I understand from the comments section in Daniels introductory post, is not Search Engine Optimized, but I think they are working on it. It’s not too big a problem though if you use the All In One SEO plugin but some in-house SEO would have been better.
