Making of an Internet Millionaire.

Admit it. Everyone has an ego. The only difference is some has an ego bigger than others. I too have an ego. When I posted Money Making Bloggers are Selfish Bloggers and the recent What if Google Abandons Page Ranking and it received some good feed backs from respectable names, I felt good. That was my ego at play. For a blogger that is virtually unknown, this ego boost can do wonders. It makes me feel as though I can really achieve something with this blog. That’s me. There are many that cannot get enough of this ego, so much so that it becomes an obsession.

The latest ego boosting act of a very successful blogger, no, I should say an Internet marketeer who ply his trade exploiting the weakness of bloggers who wants to make millions from Adsense or who yearns for some shortcut tips to great blogging success is Joel Comm.

Every blogger who has some knowledge of Adsense will know Joel Comm. He is the guy who made millions from Adsense and who made millions more by selling his ideas on how to make millions from Adsense. If you are an Internet marketeer, you should see how this guy markets himself. His personality and the brand that he has created for his personal name, Joel Comm, is another “secret” that he can sell and make another few millions. It is now, not so much of his “Adsense Secrets” that people are attracted to. It’s the name and the products that this name endorses sells.

When I started out I too, was curious and wanted to know and pick this guy’s brain. Like all newbies, who are ever hungry for ideas to make money blogging and getting millions of hits, Joel Comm became my idol. I subscribed to his “free” newsletters. It is of course free, the newsletters I mean but the tips and the secrets that he is supposed to reveal to you is definitely not. All his “free newsletters” contains at least 2 sales pitch or some other publicity stunts that he has created for himself, the latest being his Realty TV wannabe, titled “The Next Internet Millionaire” where the guy hosts, playing a trumped up Donald Trump.

It is almost an exact copy of the highly successful series, “The Apprentice” but with a dose of “The Survivor” and “The Fear Factor” series thrown in for good measure. In the latest episode, the contestants were given a task to reply 5 (I think) emails within 15 minutes. Sounds tough, but there is an “appetiser” that contestants can take to lessen the tasks. What is the “appetiser?” They have to swallow 2 fat, juicy and crawly earth worms! Now what the hell do swallowing worms have to do with becoming an Internet Millionaire?!
