  1. I agree. Blogging is not easy. And the blogging niche is oversaturated to the point where its pretty difficult to get above the rest.

  2. Unless you’re trying to get rich off your blog, I say don’t worry about it. You can always start another that focuses on another topic.

The key is to enjoy what you’re doing. If you aren’t, then you need to stop and concentrate on something else.

LOL. Tell you the truth. I enjoy pouring out my blogging frustrations here. I think many people will relate to this frustrations. :-)

  4. people want to know what WE think as bloggers, and not just repeat something someone else says.

That lies one of the intrinsic values of blogging, not how much money it makes.

  5. Not just on the topics you mentioned about, even niches such as weight loss, back pain and basically everything you see listed on the front page of Ezinearticles is becoming saturated. Thinking that we need to do to blurt out something that seems creative for others is indeed harder.

  6. litford, I agree with your first sentence completely but disagree a bit with the second.
While the intrinsic value is nice, monetary value is the reason many are looking to get involved. Lack of financial success is probably the reason so many quite. Let’s face it, If you made $20k+ a month with a blog, it’s a lot easier to motivate yourself to post regularly.

  7. Oh boy. I really recognise the frustration.
My main blog (which is kind of a mix of social media, beta news and blogging tips) isn’t attracting much traffic either, but I’ve started a couple of others that focuses on a particular video game (FIFA 08) and that one is very successful. So successful so I’ve bought the domain name for the next version and plan on blogging about FIFA 09.

There are plenty of niches out there. If you don’t know it already I can recommend spending some time every day on http://thirtydaychallenge.com/
