Money Making Bloggers are Selfish Bloggers

Now I admit. This is truly a case of sour grapes. I see a blogger reporting that he made close to $18,000 in one month with just one blog and I am writing this. I am all green with envy and the green eyed monster can sometimes play dirty tricks on one’s mind. Imaginations can go wild and accusations can be thrown without a second thought.

sour-grapes.gif

You guys know how much is 18,000 USD in my part of the world? It’s close to 60,000 Malaysian Ringgit and you know what a 60,000 monthly income can do here? You can live more luxuriously than a king. So you can see why I am all green eyed. The greenery is made even worse because what he has done to achieve that income can also be done anywhere in the world. If he has been doing something that is not available here, I can at least console myself that it was because there were opportunities opened to him which I can’t get here. But heck, no. He has to make his thousands with things that are available to anyone, anywhere in the world, who has a blog. That makes me real jealous of him.

Oh of course he has been good and he tells us where the thousands are coming from. He even gives away an ebook that list out all his money making sources. Thousands have downloaded the book, me included and have I learned anything new from the book? In fact have you, learned anything new from that book or any other money making ebooks for that matter? Whether is was given away free or otherwise? I did not. I have practically tried everything that was stated in the books way before I read those books and I did not achieve a single thing. Which led to suspect that there is something that those money making bloggers are hiding from me, or from us.

I mean, there is no doubt that the programs mentioned are feasible ones. Anyone from anywhere can have access to these programs. It is as easy as just inserting some pre-written codes in our blogs and that’s about it, but the thing is, how the hell do we get them to work half as well as those big money makers? Nobody told me how. I am plenty sure that there is something more than just inserting codes. There must be something. They are not revealing the backstage scenes that led them to their successes. They are not telling us the manipulations that they did. They are just being selfish.

And I am suffering from a very bad case of grapes deprivation so I console myself by saying that the grapes are sour.

You are spot on. How many blog posts you are doing a week? D o you market your blog like John Chow. I guess not.

I made USD4K in August and bought 12kmom.com to celebrate. We will get there, slowly and steady, I believe. And I can share my sweet grapes with you. :P

Urm… Well blogging has become somewhat of a business now and even though successful people can share their tips and tricks but it’s still up to luck, timing, and everything else for someone to strike it big. If you really write about really fantastic stuff and market your blog to the right place, right people at the right time, you might just make it!

I want to be green-eyed also but haiz I don’t have that kind of fortune, I guess.

Start small and build it up there. I started with nothing and overtime gets about US$100 per month :)

True, I sometimes think that the big money makers aren’t telling us the whole thing but you can find out why. How did you find about John Chow? Well you probably read on someone’s blog that JC made $10k a month on his blog so you got interested and went to visit his blog. That’s really how he gets the visitors. Don’t you notice the link bait and contests that he posted where you have to write about his blog on your blog? After getting tons of others to do this, you actually start receiving free traffic. He benefits off of these visitors by posting some ads on his blog to them.

The truth finally revealed! He probably received a few more visitors off of you posting about him on your blog. :)

    Hi Catherinel,

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I was born and bred in Malaysia, but people from my generation had the previledge to receive a good English education from small. Sadly, things are a little bit different now.

Yeah.. I hope one day I can be rich too! :-)

    Daily Webbers!

Holy cow, you are right! I did him a favor! hahahahaa… not that he needs it.

  8. Costa says:

I am real small now. hehehehe.. hope I have some idea on how to build up this blog.

  9. Costa says:

    Barffie,

I guess you are right. We do need a certain level of luck to hit the big times.

  10. Costa says:

    Lilian,

And I thank you in advance for willing to share!

  11. Costa says:

    Kavilan,

But the truth is, there are indeed people making that kind of income, which makes me all the greener! :-)

  12. Costa says:

    Thiru,

Yeah, guess I still have lots to learn and plenty to catch up.

  13. lilian says:

Lou Sai, lei duck jorrr..*kira bilangan itu orang baru datang*

Costa, I think you’ve got it spot on.

Everywhere I look nowadays, in the blogosphere, near to everyone has some sort of gimmick going on. Locally we have the Nuffnag’ers vs. the Addverlts. And let’s not forget the PPP’ers too shall we. And yeah the never-ending TOP 10 lists too!

I come across blogs by the dozens that are barely a year old and right off the bat all I can see is the Paid Posting, Giants Adds, etc – all clogging up space around the minor if not insubstantial post.

Blogger’s , the newer ones, are only blogging because(this is true for the majority of blogger, but not necessarily ALL bloggers):
    1) It’s cool to have a blog
    2) Can participate in all this paid posting & blog advertisement agends.
    3) Can have those Blogger-get-togethers

What happen to great content? What happened to hard-hitting opinions that are to the T?
