Not All Blogs Can Do Well With Pay Per Click Ads

Three days, 285 page impressions, 0 clicks. I have removed WidgetBucks Ads from this blog. No point tormenting my readers here anymore with those annoying animated Ads. If it was just Text Ads, I might just leave it there. If it had made my at least $1.00 I would have at least got some encouragement to carry on. But no. It does not work here as I had expected from day 1. So off it goes.

Blogs in this genre does not and will not do well with Ads that needs to be clicked. When I was running Adsense previously in my other blogs, the earnings were miserable to say the least. So when I got sabotaged, I wasn’t really feeling to bad about the “loss” in earnings.

The reason why these kind of blogs don’t do well is because we get readers who already knows what and how blogs are. They are not here to search for things or products. It has been proven that blogs with gadgets reviews, Food and Health information, Science and Technology or any other in this niche will do better with PPC Ads. The main reason being, their readers are there from Search Engines. They are looking for some products or relevant information and when people are looking info, they will click on any link that provides them with the info they need.

Darren Rowse in his podcast on “Why I Don’t Use AdSense on ProBlogger Anymore” stated very clearly that even a blog with Problogger’s calibre does not perform too well with Adsense and that’s the reason he took Adsense of Porblogger.net. Of course Darren has other blogs like his Digital Photography Blog where Adsense does very well.

One day I would like to see this blog become self sufficient, but presently, I don’t see much potential yet. So for the time being, let this be an ads free blog.

True. The local ads are just as bad. Every blogs I go to display the same ads. Probably they don’t have too many advertisers… so the ads become redundant.

I don’t see any more ads here other than the one link sold.

    @ Helen
You can earn through Advertlets which is not PPC, some of their ads are on CPM.

Wayne – I used to put Advertlets up there. But then it’s not really making much… not to mention the ads are redundant. :-) I can see it on every local blogs….
