The most frequently touted advise by blog gurus is something like ‘write good quality contents and traffic will come” or something to that nature. I have always rubbished this advise for my personal believe is, no matter how good the quality of your blog post is, it does no good if you cannot get people to read it. It is ONLY after you have established a readership base big enough to sustain the survival of your blog that you can do whatever you like. Like writing articles that expresses your expert writing skills with lots of beautiful words that no one searches for in the Net. In the meantime, I feel it would be better that we write the way Search Engines prefers us to.
It has to be realized that writing the way Google , Yahoo or Bing wants us to certainly DO NOT mean we stuff our post silly with keywords to the extent that it makes no sense to whoever is reading it. The article still have to be humanly readable and it still have to be as informative as you possible can make it to be. In regards to this, your command of the language and your grammatical skills will need to be a little bit above average, which is a level that I think most bloggers is at. You only need to structure your blog post accordingly so Search robots sees that post as one that is relevant to whatever topic you intended the article for.
Many bloggers already know how to do this and I have also written an article on how to write a SEO post. The problem, as always, lies with the bloggers themselves. Even after they know they have done what it takes, many still do not trust themselves to have done a good job. They need someone or something to convince them of that fact and what would be better if that someone is a successful blogger.
They simply lack self confidence and it is in this weakness that gets most of them to spend money that could be better spent elsewhere. Smart marketers knows how to manipulate this weakness and they know how to pounce on an opportunity when they see one. That is what made these marketers so successful. What more, they have the capital and they have all the resources to develop whatever they want.
This time, it is, “Why not get some programmers to write a smart little program just to analyze whether a blog post is Search Engine friendly enough, then have them pay monthly fees just to have the program analyze their post?”
And they came out with a WordPress plugin called Scribe. No links, sorry, the sales copy is too convincing and you could easily be con-vinced to spend $97 bucks monthly to have your posts “confirmed”. I am not about to be in cahoots by sending traffic to their sales page, but then, when the “A-iest” of A-listers tell his readers that this is something worth spending money over, then who am I to prevent them.
The most ironical fact is, all this while they, the people who are selling this plugin and the people who are endorsing it, have been telling people NOT to write for Search Engines. I, on the other hand, have been saying the opposite and even then, I still say you don’t need to spend that kind of money on a monthly basis.
I would say it is okay if it is a one time buy at not more than $27 bucks. If anything, it will give those who lacks the self confidence a peace of mind, having “confirmed” their post is good enough for the Search Engines. Some just like to spend money as they believe the advise they got for free are not good enough for them or maybe they still believe there is a magic formula around that have not been revealed to them.
The fact is, if you have followed the basic principles of writing a search friendly post, you do not need to confirm anything. It WILL be loved by all Search spiders and you don’t need any plugins to tell you so. I have done it and I have then confirmed it. If you do not want to follow, then there isn’t a single plugin in this world that would help you. No matter how much you are willing to pay.
