Reading PDF files out of the Firefox Browser.

I don’t know if effects anyone of you or if effects those using Internet Explorer, but whenever I try opening a pdf file in Firefox, my whole computer hangs. I can’t do anything. Even the mouse don’t work. No amount of 3 finger salutes (Ctrl + Alt + Del) will make the problem go away and I have to restart Firefox all over again.

I stumbled upon a Firefox add-on that took care of the problem. Called PDF Download, this add-on allows you to download the file and read it offline or out of Firefox. I tested a few times and found it to be very niffty. I can carry on doing whatever i was doing while the file downloads to my desktop.

You are offered several options as to how you want to view your PDF files, but I chose to download them and read it at my own leisure, but be reminded that since you have downloaded the file, all the links in that document won’t be working.
