Renew Comments on Blogs Forgotten
I am seriously behind now. Darren pop out another 3 tips while I was busy with other things so it looks like my target of meeting the problogger’s with 31 of my own won’t be attainable when the whole thing ends. I am really amazed at Darren’s ability to churn out tip after tip, one better than the last, everyday with no sign of a dry out whatsoever. I wonder how his mind works. I am already feeling a little bit brain numb after only my fourth tip and those are even nothing close to the tips given out by Darren.
I am going to cheat a little and take a shortcut today. Darren’s latest tips are: (I am listing all his latest tips in one post) ![]()
Email an Old Timer Reader – Emailing a loyal reader occasionally does makes the reader feel special.
Plan Your Next Week’s Posting Schedule - I have never done this. Heck sometimes I can’t even think of what to write for that day, lest to write something for next week. That’s the difference between a Problogger and a casual blogger I guess.
Yes, I have done this many times and yes it you do make new friends this way.
Now for my supplementary tips.
Comment in a New Blogger’s blog -
Other than commenting in a blog that I have never commented before, I am always on the lookout for new blogs. It gives me great pleasure to be the one who makes the opening comment and I think a new blogger getting a comment from anyone in his first post is really a bonus. Most probably, this blogger will remember me for the rest of his blogging life.
Introduce New Blogs in your Own Blog.
When I see a new blog that is very well written, I always takes an initiative to recommend that blog to all my readers. Though I can’t say I have lots of them, at least the new guy will benefit a little from the little that I have got. When you do such a favor to others without being asked, they remember and in all probability, they become one loyal visitor.
Summing up these 2 tips, my tip for today is: Be a Generous Blogger
Be generous with your comments, be generous with your links, and be generous with your intro. Generosity begets generosity.
