I make no qualms about it nor do i want to deny it. I want to make money from my blogs, thus my quest for a well monetized theme. This quest had me taking a look at those successful bloggers who makes thousands per month from their blogs and the interesting thing I see is the majority of them uses a no frills, 2 column design. Another interesting is though they profess making thousands from their site, the ads visible were minimum. So it baffles me as to how they can get so many clicks from their Ads.
We all or at least I know, blog readers avoids Ads like a plague. Then I think back about myself when I started blogging, I too was once an eager “clicker.” Whenever I go to some sites and sees interesting ad titles I would click on them to find out more. These clicking came to a stop when I came to know that they were placed there for some reason. Somehow I don’t feel right clicking on the ads that were not placed there by the sites owner but by some third party trying to make some money.
I came to the realization that most of the clicks comes from newbies eager to learn something. Once they start to blog on their own, and start placing advertisements on their own, they will stop clicking on Ads placed on other blogs. So all those monetization tricks and Ads placements tactics taught by experts resulted in nothing unless you can attract newbies and lots of them at that, to come to your blog.
That is where SEO comes in again and that is why I am so eager to learn all about this. Learn how to get my blogs to be very search friendly for newbies because I believe that all newbies turns to Search Engines when looking up for information. If one million people searches for that topic in a day, and if my blog is up on the front page, can I safely say 1% of them will click on my blog’s URL? That’s 1000 hits. If that is the way, I can survive on hit traffics alone, but of course that is just a fiction taken from my over imaginative mind.

Chief! How about asking our Singapore SEO Consultant for tips? LOL!
Firstly to clarify, I’m no SEO pro but merely a seasonal blogger whom admits that I still click on Google Adsense ads esp. the ones when u search using Google.
Imagine this. You search for something but the results page comes out with heaps of useless links which somehow got to the top of the list because of the misuse of SEO. That is why I usually just click one of the Google ads instead. They are more relevant in terms of what I am searching for.
Also, being on top of a results page is of course wonderful to attract ‘newbies’ but I’m sure if you have a powerful site title which stands out in a sea of SEO inducing pages. I’m sure being top 50 in the results is good enough.
Well this is just another point to see it. People click on to your site to find content that they want to find. Make your content unique, the design extravagant and I assure you people will be coming back in floods. Using SEO only helps slightly, gaining people’s attention to bookmark the link and come back for more is an achievement. Have a look at your site and ask yourself what can be removed. Removing clutter is a good thing. Helps the newbies a lot. So they don’t have any options and be subliminally directed to click the ads instead.
Just my 2 cents.
