I wanted to learn, so I subscribed to some newsletters from Blog gurus and Money Making gurus. I had always wondered why these guys are so generous to send you free newsletters weekly and teaching you tricks to get more blog traffic,  how to make money from Adsense and so on without getting anything in return. Are they really so helpful and sincere in wanting to help not so successful bloggers like us? At first I thought so.

After sometime, I realised that these are really smart marketeers. They shout out their slogans like some saint that has just descended from heaven to help. They say they will give you free tips. They never ask for anything in return. For the first few weeks or months that is. Then the killing starts.

First they will tease you. They still try to keep their saintly image of someone out to help. They praise you. They polish you. They give you some tips. Then they say they have something better and it’s still free, if you sign in to some programs. These taunts continue. Letting you nibble a bit on the bait and pulling it back, making you hunger for more. They will let you see their so called earnings and say you too can earn that much if you get his e book which cost $99.00 but since you are his subscriber, he will let you have it for one third of the price.

I mean, what the hell. I think they are just plain swindlers out to swindle poor bloggers like us. They give you some rubbish and hope you will buy more rubbish from them. Now I understand why they are being so generous in the first instance. So I have stopped subscribing for those free newsletters . Even if those newsletters are from some very influential bloggers.  There is no such thing as a free lunch, i guess.
