Due to the constant bombarding of advise from blog gurus telling them to keep good blogging ethics, build up trust among their readers, have high quality contents, so on and so forth, many feels terrible having to write something that they feel will make their readers lose their trustworthiness that they have built up for themselves.

I have a blog. It is less than a year old, has 8 post in it and it has not been updated for nearly 9 to 10 months. The blog has no regular readers, no subscribers, minimum incoming links, has a Page rank of 1 and absolutely no comments. Traffic to the blog is about 10 uniques per day all by courtesy of Google. It took about 3 weeks for this blog to register it’s first hit from Google.

Sure you have read a thousand and one blogs of Make Money Online gurus who tells you that it is easy to make tons of money online. Just start a blog, they will tell you, insert Adsense, they continue, sell some affiliate products, they advise. You will make easy money. If you still believe that, you are dumber than the chicken who laid her eggs in the snake hole thinking it will be safe.

Am I an Adsense Guru? NO. Do I make thousands in Adsense Revenue? NO. Then, should you continue reading what I have to say about making money from Adsense? I hope so.

Blogigs makes a modest average of $600 monthly through affiliate commissions from the combined sales of WordPress Themes which I promote in my sidebar. The bulk of it comes from sales of the Thesis Theme which I average of about 10 sales per month. The figure though encouraging, considering the traffic this blog gets, is way far from enough to sustain as a full time income. However, it does prove that you can make money selling WordPress Themes.
