First, imagine a library. Inside this library, there are thousands of books on different categories, topics and titles. The librarian is one lazy fellow. Other than giving the library a attractive coat of paint, he just loaded the library with all the books he can afford. Of course he stacked the books neatly on shelves but he did not arrange al the books according to their categories and topics. He did not bother even arrange them in alphabetical order. Thus, when someone walks into the library, they have a hard time looking for what they want.

WP Blog Theme Business Card

A normal business card, no matter how well you design it, has it’s limits. Everything considered, it is just a card the size of around 4 inches by 2 inches and you can only insert that much information into that tiny piece of paper. Nevertheless, the business card remains the singular most important piece of document that any businessman worth their salt cannot do without.

In days of old, a business card will contain 2 pieces of the most important information. The name and the contact number or the person giving out the card. When the Internet was invented, another 2 piece of information was added and that was, the email and if the person has one, a web site URL.

Received an email from a guy asking me some weird questions about wp blog themes and it was only after 3 exchanges that I realized I, or rather he, was barking up the wrong tree. thesis look-alike

A major factor for the success of the Thesis Theme is the look and the great typography. It has a certain cleanliness and elegance to it that when you look at a blog running on Thesis in it’s default form, you can’t help but feel a little refreshed. Many other premium Themes too follow this procedure in their designs but somehow or rather do not exhibit the same kind of cleanliness that the Thesis displays.

They want no distractions for their readers and honestly, from a blog reader’s point of view, I do enjoy reading more from a blog that has no too much fancy stuffs cluttered all round their blogs. Of course then, their contents have to be mesmerizing enough. Why?

I thought I will never be doing this, but looking at the popularity of this Neoclassical Theme mod, I think I owe it to those who are using it to have it upgraded a little with WordPress 2.9 features. Frankly, in my opinion, the 2 visible features added to the latest version of WordPress do not serve a hell lot of purpose, but since it is part of the deal, well….
