The Evolution Of A Blogger

Like all living species, bloggers evolves. While human beings took millions of years to evolved into what we are today, though they are still so many who haven’t fully evolved into real humans yet, what with all the bombings going on, bloggers evolves within a few short years. Whether they evolve into a better blogger or into one that is the opposite, remains to be very subjective.

There are blogs that started off with a big bang but fizzled out within a year or less and there are blogs that started out without a tingle but grew to be a top blog within a few short months. Some view this kind of phenomenon growth with awe and some looked upon it as luck while still some considers them as manipulators. Whichever way, if one can succeed, it doesn’t matter how others viewed them.

Sometimes we set our foot or should I say, our screens, on some blogs that is utter rubbish to our eyes, but it is a blog followed by thousands everyday. It makes us wonder what made them click with their readers. It makes us think that all the work and some even money, we have invested into our blogs has come to nothing and everything is a big waste. It makes us want to give up and many do indeed give up.

Bloggers peaked at their 15th or 20th. post because by that time they would have received their first comments. A new blogger gets very excited on receiving a comment. They get a high on being finally known by someone who cares enough to drop a line and this is encouragement enough to get them going at a speed that will eventually burn them out within 6 months. By the sixth month, after many comments and compliments later, a sense of obligation sets in. They began to have sleepless nights trying to plot out what to write for their audience tomorrow. From there, they go downhill and one fine day, they will wake up to write their last post. The sheer pressure of keeping up with has taken it’s toll.

It will take a couple of months before they get the initiative to start blogging again. Most second time bloggers will have a clearer perspective of the word blogging, what is does and is meant to be. Most second timers stays on, blogging at their own pace….. Until one day someone said money can be made from blogging. And the same evolution cycle starts all over again.

Yeah, blogging is hard work. After some time, when you see the traffic is stagnant and you start running out of ideas for your posts…it gets tough.
