The Perfect Wordpress Theme

by Costa on November 1, 2007

I think my search for a perfect wordpress theme just ended with this present one. It has everything I need. The only down side is it doesn’t come with the RSS Feed buttons but that can be easily inserted in without much effort.

Titled, NoBusX2, this theme can be downloaded for free at dezzain.com, where you can get loads of other beautifully done themes.

When hunting for a theme, don’t stick to the few traditional places like Themeviewer and so on. There are still many place that offers good themes. Of course Themes found at those reputable sources does not containing any sponsored links, but most of them are so widely used that the uniqueness is gone.

A good way to search for a good theme is of course to start with your Search Engine. Use creative words. If you just type in “Wordpress themes” what you get will be millions of results containing the the word, “wordpress”. Use terms like “Unique Wordpress themes” or “Exclusive Wordpress Themes” and your Search Results will be more relevant.

Once you have grabbed the theme, unzipped it to your desktop, open the folder and check each file inside thoroughly to see if any malicious codes have been included. If you are suspicious, don’t use it.

Like I said, this theme is almost perfect and has everything I wanted. The sidebar Ads, the picture alignment functions, the clear navigation bar and it even came with a ready made Sitemap page which is touted by SEO experts as a very useful page to have for Search Engines to dig deep into your blog. There is also the all important 404 page though it is empty and I had to personalised it myself. The footer only contains 2 credit links. One to the author’s site and another to their sponsors, which I think I can accept. There are 2 header files too. One shows the Blog Title which is click-able and another which allows you to personalize your design with whatever you want and the whole banner is click-able.

The content area is also much to my preference. big enough to accommodate videos and pictures can be aligned perfectly. The feature I like most at the moment is the Ads Spaces at the side bar. I have been trying to sell some ad space here and those are just perfect. Color wise, it looks masculine with those shade of grey and black. The black “About” column on the top of the sidebar will be a perfect location to place my feed icons. Nice!

Costa, I got to agree this is a beautiful theme!!

You’re right, don’t change anymore. This is very nice. Errr only maybe the ‘BLog Gigs’ needs to be a little bigger to stand out.

A small suggestion.

You might want to make the left content headers a different colour so focus is better. That way it’ll overshadow the advertisements you want to include on the right side. :)

Wow Costa what a find! I absolutely love the look of this theme, I’ll have to check it for XHTML strict and javascript/css strict before I fall too in love *sigh*

I checked out your 404 Error Page, its pretty nice! I really think you should use the SEO 404 Error Page Plugin and it’d be perfect.

I’m sorry, but the post or page you’re looking for could not be found. It could be because of my recent re-design of this theme. Here are a couple of options that might help you…
