The Power Of Social Bookmarking

I finally realized the true power of social bookmarking and to those who are still skeptical as to what Vic and Court has to teach, I am sorry. Taking Vic who blogs about Making Money Online and Court’s Keyword Sniping tips as a base for starting a niche blog two weeks ago, I applied as close as possible what I have learned when starting the blog. I invested in a $97 bookmarking program which burned a big hole in my pocket but was happy it was worth the while for I got more than the program and learned something that was not so easily accessible from the net.

The blog was indexed in 24 hours but I wasn’t too exited about traffic as I felt it was still too early, but traffic started dribbling in on the fourth day. Not much but just a trickle though it was enough to convince me that maybe I was out of the sandbox. I did not pay too much attention and just went about adding articles everyday, bookmarking them religiously and left it to mutate by itself.

Yesterday I received my usual newsletter from Yaro Starak pointing me to a video that discussed about the power of social networking. Being the knowledge monger that I am, I checked out the video. it was quite lengthy but it did show how, if social bookmarking were applied correctly, can bring massive traffic to a site even if it is very new and still sandboxed. It was exactly what Vic has taught all this while but the video made it even clearer still. However like all this kind of things, it is a big pre-launch sales pitch and to tell the truth, I was totally sold if not for the price which amounted to my food bills for 3 months! I would have bought it if I could starve my family for 3 months! LOL! (The Video Is Worth a Watch though)

Anyway, after watching the video, I decided to see if my new blog has gotten the same effect as shown by the video. I saw 58 hits and I checked on one of the keyword phrase that landed in one of my articles. I was blown away. On the first page, there was 4 results out of 10 pointing to my blog! Two was from my submission to BloggingZoom, which came in 2nd and 3rd. One from my submission to Mixx which was in 4th position. My very own result sat snugly in Number 9.

It confirmed one thing. You don’t need page rank and you can still play in the sandbox if you use social bookmarks, you will still get your Search Hits. One more thing, I don’t have to spend more than $1300 buying what I saw in that video!
