The Power of the Stumble.

My eternal gratitude to Lyndoman of Cornswellseo for stumbling my post yesterday. Words cannot describe my feelings when I checked my stats before I signed off last evening. It was the first time after nearly 3 months of blogging here that I see my stats surpassing the 100th. mark. In fact the figure was 170 unique visitors for yesterday, and it is still coming till this morning. It’s surprises like these that makes it all worthwhile. I’m not greedy, but I do hope there are more Lyndomans around dropping by. I learned something from the Stumble I got yesterday.

Write Articles that are worth A Stumble

Even if everyone who comes here is a Lyndoman. who are ready to Stumble of Digg me, I must have something for them to Stumble or Digg. The lesson learned here is the age old advise “good contents” hold the ultimate truth.

Trackbacking or Backlinking

If I was a little bit lazy and did not trackback or backlinked to Cornswall, Lyndoman would never have came here. So it’s another truth proven. Trackbacking, other than getting some traffic from the blog that you backtracked when their commentators checks out what you said, you sometimes will get lucky and get stumbled by the blogger whom you have backtracked.

Do not rest your laurels

The most difficult lesson learned is how to follow up with what I was given. I will never know how many of those kind souls who visited will find it worthwhile enough to come back or subscribe to my feeds. Only time will tell, I guess. In the meantime, I will have to work doubly hard to fill this blog up with good articles by visiting established blogs to get new refreshing ideas and come up with of my own on those ideas.

stumbleupon is only a short term traffic - once you use stumbleupon multiple times it gets tiring, concentrating on other tactics to help create traffic is far better in the long run, but I agree once someone stumbled on my page I was getting a flood of traffic - its a great source/tool to use
