I had wanted to say The Art Of blogging, but on second thought, no, blogging is no more an art. It’ science. If it is an art, I would have mastered it long ago but since science was my weakest subject in school, I have yet to grasp the all the finer points of blogging.
It is kind of ironical. Blogging was suppose to be the easiest thing to have happened since the invention of the Internet. When before it takes certain skills to set up a web page and have it shown to the world, blogs have pulled that skill down to primary school level and any one with a simple computer and Internet access can set up a website within 15 minutes, complete with all the fireworks. How is it then, that along the way, blogging became such a complicated subject? I put the blame squarely on the shoulders of all those self appointed professors of blogging.
It was them, who came up with idiotic theories, sometimes to the extent of providing scientific formulas and graphs that even Einstein won’t be able decipher, to prove their mind boggling theories on how we should be blogging. I mean, blogging is blogging, why on earth should we make it into a science subject. I hate science, especially physics and I hate formulas. Why should I learn and memorize that there are 2 parts of oxygen and one part of hydrogen in plain water? Will this knowledge help me bring food to my table? Like hell no. Likewise with blogging.
So the argument is, if you know the science, you will do better and your blog will grow faster than those who don’t. Is that a fact? I seriously doubt it. On the contrary, if you practise what has been preached, it might actually stunt your blog. You will be spending endless hours trying out their theories when the time could be well spent updating and coming up with super high quality post that will attract thousands.
I have reasons to suspect that those cooking up those theories have an imagination so fickle that they will argue that shit is edible if you refine it. Why not lets just stick to the 5 basic principles that you have learned by heart now and there is no need for me to repeat anymore.
