Thesis 1.6 Has No Problems With WordPress 2.9

Since the launching of WordPress 2.9, I have seen many queries about whether Thesis 1.6 will work with this latest version of WordPress. For those who have this worry, rest assured, Thesis 1.6 DO NOT have any problems with WordPress 2.9

The Thesis Theme is a futuristic theme and it is upgrade-proof, which means, even if there are any major upgrade in WordPress, the theme will still work seamlessly.

In fact, a lot of features that comes with WordPress 2.9 has been incorporated into the Thesis since the 1.5 version. A good example is the ability to display Thumbnails in your front page. This function provided in the Thesis Theme is even more advanced that the one you get at present. All you have to do is to copy and paste the image source code into the columns provided in your post editor and the actual image that you are using for your post will be cropped and displayed automatically as thumbnails in your front page.

Another feature is the rel=canonical support for better SEO. This has been available in the Thesis Theme for as long as I can remember. In case you are in the dark, this feature will prevent Search Engines from indexing your blog’s URL twice. Once for the www.yourblog.com and once for just yourblog.com. If your blog is indexed twice, then you will run into the problem of having duplicate contents as Search spiders will be seeing two exact copies of the same post, even though in reality there is only one.

Even though this can be overcome through the Webmasters Tool where you can tell Google to look for only one URL, many are still oblivious to this fact.

So if you are using the Thesis Theme or have plans to buy the Theme, do not worry about compatible issues. The Thesis theme will run smoothly. You don’t really need to insert the codes for the Post Thumbnail feature. You already have that, and many more.

Still another reminder. I think there will be another upgrade to the Thesis Theme in the coming days in view of the WordPress upgrade and there might be a price adjustment down the line. So if you plans to buy this incredible Theme, do it now.
