Inspired by the success of 45n5’s Top 100 Make Money Online Blogs List, WP Themes Gallery came up with their own Top 40 Blogs About Wordpress List. Listed among them are supposedly blogs that are the best in terms of writing and blogging about Wordpress, however I was kind of surprise at the rankings. The majority of the list comprises of “blogtheme” blogs. Maybe they do fall into the Wordpress category, but when it comes to pure information about Wordpress, I would rate Lorelle as the best. Her blogs oozes information about Wordpress and noting else.
In all fairness, the top 40 is a good place to go if you are interested. Not just so you will find blogs that really talks about this blogging platform, but you might, like me, find some nice Wordpress themes too. As a link bait, It might not score as big as the top 100 money maker’s list, but it should attract some attention of the blogs that have been listed to write about it. A good promotion like the one Mark did when he posted his list might do some good, I think.
Coming back to Mark of 45n5. Do this guy ever go to sleep? What started off as a Top 100 List, it now has bloomed into a list comprising of 230 blogs the last time I visited. It has become a small directory of sorts for people who are making some or little money with their blogs, and a place for people to take a sneek peek on blogs that makes money.
Some of those listed might be just making dollars and cents, but hey, that is making money too, and they have the good sense of submitting their blogs to be listed. It’s good publicity at the least. Anyway, Mark did not specify that blogs MUST be making money to get listed. Any blog that discusses about Making Money Online is good.

One interesting thing about a list like that (or any article that links out and is creative) is the more traffic it gets the more traffic it sends out, which in turn makes more people notice, and it kinda builds momentum by itself after awhile.
Wow! I’m so humbled and honored. Thanks for “rating” my blog so high. When I started, so many people told me that I was wasting my time as it was too narrow a niche. Thanks for proving otherwise.
Hmmm… just finished going thru them all. Agreed Lorelle should have been at least in the top three. Some blogs IMHO should not have been there and there are some blogs that should have been. As with all lists they are usually just one persons opinion. Still, it’s a good traffic generator.
