Upgrade to WordPress 2.3.2

by Costa on December 30, 2007

Hours ago, WordPress released their latest version WordPress 2.3.2 that fixes a security bug that when exploited will let others see your drafts. Not that it matters a lot to me as I never save my drafts here, but there are many who does. So for those who has a few killer articles that would take the world by storm and have been keeping them for a big release, they better upgrade fast, lest your articles gets stolen from right under your nose.

I won’t be rushing to do this upgrade as I hate upgrading WordPress. I am not tech savvy enough to filter out the necessary files and just replace those that have been updated, so I will be waiting for Tech-Buzz to come up with the upgraded files like he usually do when there is a minor upgrade. Then it will just be a matter of overwriting those files. Saves a lot of time and effort.

Update: Download the changed files here.

I too am hesitant about running an upgrade, I don’t do drafts either.. So I’ll wait for your friend to do what he/she does and get down with that.. Seems safer… Tks for the info…

I just overwrite everything. LOL!

But yeah, upgrading only the necessary would take away half the time needed when going through the content and include folders.
