Switch on your computer, open your browser, go to your blog. Take a long hard look. Ponder over it, dig deep into your heart and soul. Ask yourself. Why the hell am I blogging? What is the purpose? What do I hope to achieve? Let’s have some fun over this weekend. I am going to tell you mine in all honesty , then after-wards, you tell me yours. In all honesty too, I hope.
Time frame is present as purposes will change with time. Blog is this blog as I, as well as you, might have different blogs for different purposes.
My Purpose Of Maintaining This Blog.
Unsurprisingly, is for money. That is the main one. The other might sound a bit corny, but I do enjoy writing somewhat. It relieves me from lots of stress, especially when I rant and ridicule in front of an audience, no matter how limited.
That is about all. I am no saint. I did not start this blog due to some saintly nature of mine in really wanting to help other bloggers. Some might profess to that, but sorry, not me. Whatever I write and post here carries an agenda of some sort.
I write lots of different tips here. Those tips in nature are helpful but the only reason I wrote them is because these are things that are sought after in Search Engines. My motive is to get those looking for such tips to come and hopefully click on my Affiliate links or at least subscribe so I can increase my subscription numbers and have something more respectable to show to potential Advertisers. Then I can price my Ads a little bit higher and I will make more.
If I was a saint, I will keep my blog here squeaky clean of any Affiliate Links of any sorts and kind. I will give everything I know for free. I will not even have the slightest hope of getting any thing back in return. But again sorry, I am just a mere mortal, subjected to sins and wrongdoings. I hope, I want and I crave for something in return for my ‘good deeds’ I feel disappointed if I don’t get them.
These days the word is Blogs Doesn’t make Money. . It is something which I beg very much to differ.
Blogs do not make money if you choose not to. Give me a PR6 blog with more than 126 thousand subscribers and more than 58 thousand twitter Followers and I will make lots of money. Directly from the blog itself, without the need to play on the trust that others have put in you.
Okay, maybe I have very low expectations in life. I do not think about six figure incomes. Maybe when they said blogs do not make money, they meant that blogs will never make you millions of dollars. To make millions you have to make lots of people trust you and the easiest way to reach out to these trusting innocent people is through blogging. To that, I concur. It is a valid motive for maintaining a blog.
That then, is their motive for blogging and having a blog. Now tell me truthfully, what is yours?

Hi, Costa,
Great day … ^.^
Making USD is my ultimate purpose of setting blogs. Wuahaha …

I believe!
That post in Copyblogger is trying to get more subscribers for Third Tribe. One of the commenters cheekily ridiculed the writer by saying : “You left out making money writing promotional blog posts”. Then the writer (Taylor) admitted it was her editor Sonia Simone who actually recommended her to write about Third Tribe.
Oh yes, I think everyone who has been following copyblogger would have realized that. Almost all their post leads to the Third Tribe these days. LOL.
And if you have subscribed to Sonia’s newsletters you will realize what a smooth talker (writer) she is. She can easily win over anyone who is new to the game.
