Many years ago they were championed as the underdog against giants like Yahoo!, Altavista and Infoseek. Fast forward a few more years and people's opinions on Google will be as divided as how people perceive MS now :) Google IS the Internet nowadays.

The fact is, if you do a search, Google is indeed faster than others. At least they play fairer than Msoft. lol
