Like I said when i started this blog, I was to learn SEO and try to implement them here to see if it really works. To date I have submitted this site to the 3 major Search Engines like all the gurus have taught. I have created and verified a sitemap for this blog. I even created a sitemap page as taught by Chris Pearson.
It has been 2 weeks now and 15 post later, I saw my first search hit. In fact there were 2. I don’t know if I should be ecstatic or what. There are only 15 post for Googles to search anyway and I have not been really practising the much emphasized practice of using proper keyword in my post.
There are really tons of things to follow if i were to implement everything that I have read. Maybe I should do 3 post a week but done correctly with all the SEO tactics than to post everyday without taking into account what should be correctly done.
According to lots of SEO gurus, to have a successful blog doesn’t mean that we must post everyday. Lots of successful blogs I visited updates maybe just once or twice a week, yet their readers don’t seem to be diminishing at all. The reason I think is because they have so many Search Friendly articles that even if they don’t update regularly, they have enough information for the Search Engines to tap into.
Some calls this type of articles, pillar articles. Articles that does not wane with time. The article can be a year or two years old, but still the information provided in that article and the keywords used are still what people are looking for. So even after long periods of time, they still get traffic to their blogs because of those articles. It would be perfect if I can come up with one such article each week.
