You Don’t Need An Adsense Theme For These Adsense Tips

Am I an Adsense Guru? NO. Do I make thousands in Adsense Revenue? NO. Then, should you continue reading what I have to say about making money from Adsense? I hope so.

I am preaching something that I don’t do much. Nevertheless, despite me not doing much of what I am preaching here, I feel it would be beneficial to anyone interested in learning some blunt and truthful tips about Adsense that has been passed on to me by real gurus who makes more than a few thousands per month. Some of the tips, you would have heard before. One or two you might never have been told and I have a bad feeling that this is gonna be a long post.

First I have to clarify that these tips only works if you are already getting those organic traffic that your blog is targeted for. If yours is a social blog where traffic comes from social sites where you ping all your daily post, or where you go and lure visitors by commenting on hundreds of sites, then it WILL NOT work. These kind of traffic NEVER works for anything related to making money from your blogs UNLESS you sell your own product, where friends tends to support even if they know it is crap, just to make you happy.

Secondly, your blog has to be an established one and has attained some sort of authority on the niche. Your posts will rank more faster and easier in the SERPs, especially so if it is more than 3 years old.

Third, if you are holy or the holier than thou type, don’t continue reading. I am talking purely from the Adsense point of view and NOT of blogging ethics per se.

Let’s get started.

The first thing that most do before starting a blog aiming for Adsense money is to look for the right keyword and the keywords that gets searched the most with reasonable competition are most preferred. I will not be going into that or anything related to that.

When all research has been done and their domain is up and running, the second thing is to go look for a so-called “Adsense Optimized Theme”. Such a theme, if you trust me, WILL NOT make any difference in your Adsense earnings. It only makes inserting the Ads a little easier. You can do that with any theme. If you have the money, you might as well get a good SEO theme like the Thesis to increase your search traffic.

Keep your Theme’s layout the barest possible so there are no other distractions should your visitors want to click on something else. If your sole purpose is Adsense, give them no other choices by NOT publishing Ads from other companies.

Keep your post keyword related yet plain boring and totally irrelevant so the person who came to your blog fails to find the information that they came looking for. In looking further, they will find the Ads. Your Ad blocks are the escape route from a boring and irrelevant site so make it highly visible to them.

DO NOT follow what other gurus have taught you to blend your Ads with your contents so perfectly that no one knows it is an Ad. That has got to be, by far, the stupidest tip I have ever heard. How can hiding your Ads from your readers make you money?

All of the above you might have read somewhere from people who are truthful. “Legitimate” gurus and guru wannabes WILL NEVER write these tips as they consider it bad for their reputation, teaching people bad blogging ethics. They would rather be selling you some crappy e-book about blogging for $27. That is good ethics, I presume.

Now comes one tip which is not so commonly written. Some of my peers who were with me at the same place learning the same things from the same guy would have heard of it. It is called BS. No, not Bull Shit, you dope. It is Bait and Switch. If done correctly, it increases your earnings per click tremendously.

What Is Bait And Switch

Like I said, when one does their keyword research, they go after keywords that are highly searched. They might even have succeeded in finding one and are pulling in hundreds of hits per day. Others might also have worked their butts out to get their keywords highly ranked and in return are also pulling in thousands of organic hits per month. Both of these are already getting a good amount of clicks daily.

However, the problem is the keywords that you have worked and ranked for might be a low paying one that gets you 5 cents per click. So all the 50 clicks you got for one day will only be bringing you $2.50. If only you can get Ads that pays 50 cents, you could be making $25 bucks daily from that one single blog. What more if the Ad pays more than 5 bucks like most Ads about Credit Card pays.  You could be well on your way to a full time income with one blog.

We can live on that dream but then a little bit closer to planet Earth, let’s aim for that 30 cents click instead of the 5 cents one.

It is going to be another round of keyword research and it might be going to be days before you find the right combination. Once you find what you are looking for, proceed to BS.

Assuming you are already getting hundreds of hits for your present keywords and all your post are geared towards that keyword. However, those keywords are paying 5 cents per click. To change that fate, you will have to start writing post with your new found keyw0rds inserted shrewdly in your post so it will trigger the Adsense bots to start showing those 30 cents Ads. This way, you leverage on the traffic that you got from those low paying but high traffic keywords.

Easy as it sounds, do I do that?

NO again.

Why?

Because it is hell of a stressful thing to do and it takes a lot of trial and errors to get it right.

So why the hell then am I praching something that I am not doing myself?

Well, I own this blog, so I consider myself a blogger, that’ why. Bloggers does that. It is their second nature.
